Women Business Leaders Visit Towson University
To Provide Lessons on Career Achievement
Panelists offer words of wisdom during second annual forum
TOWSON, Md. (Feb. 28, 2005) ? Five women business leaders will examine and provide successful solutions to professional obstacles that students may face once entering the workforce, during the second annual Women In Leadership forum on Wednesday, March 9. The panel discussion will be presented to the University community in Stephens Hall, Room 226 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The forum, hosted by Towson University?s College of Business and Economics, will afford both female and male students the valuable opportunity to receive expert advice while engaging in a detailed dialogue with well-established businesswomen in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.
This year, guest panelists will include:
Nina Paules – co-founder & CEO, ABN Leadership Group, Inc.
Tricia Hamilton – chief operating officer, Northwestern Mutual Financial Network
Myra Gorman – vice president of Product Development, Community Analytics
Ann Lansinger ? executive director, Emerging Technology Centers
Robin Budish ? executive director, The Historic Charles Street Association
Laleh Malek, coordinator of internship, career services and professional experience course and lecturer in the department of marketing & e-business, says that the forum acknowledges the growing number of women succeeding in the workforce.
?The discussion allows all students to see that if they have a dream, despite potential obstacles, there are ways to make that dream come true,? Malek says.
