Have Fun While Helping Baltimore City Middle School Kids With Math

America Counts, an initiative of the Math Department, is inviting volunteers or Federal Work Study students to tutor Baltimore City middle school students 1:1 in basic math. Students who have done this in the past describe it as a ?win-win.?

You don?t need to be a math whiz; successful completion of a university level math course or an adequate math SAT score is all that is needed?along with lots of enthusiasm and a commitment to tutor several hours once a week for the rest of the semester.

Orientation and training will be held in Stephen?s Hall on Saturday, October 2 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. School sign ups will take place and car pools arranged.

Y?all come, ya hear!!!
