The TUTORS Program has paid off-campus tutor positions available for students who would like to gain community service experience and make a difference in children?s lives.
Details:
? Earn $10 per hour for tutoring and travel time
? Tutor reading and math to students at Govans Elementary School, {www.baltimorecityschools.org/domain/2305}
? Assist teachers in kindergarten through 5th grade classrooms
? Spring 2012 term
? Morning and/or afternoon shifts Monday through Friday
? Govans is 2.5 miles south of the TU campus
Requirements:
? Must have a 2011-12 Federal Work-Study (FWS) financial aid award or be potentially eligible to receive one. FWS Eligibility requirements include a completed 2011-2012 FAFSA and some demonstrated financial need.
? Enrolled in 6 or more spring 2012 units
? Must have received at least a 2.0 GPA for your last two completed terms
? Speak fluent English and have good grammar skills
? Use MTA or own transportation to the school
