Praxis I Preparation Course to begin on January 22; Scholarships Available for Elementary Education/Special Education (EE/SE) majors
The Maryland Writing Project will offer a series of Praxis Preparation courses throughout the academic year 2010-2011. The courses consist of 6 classes, all offered on Saturday mornings from 9 – 11:30 at Towson University. The classes are taught by Maryland Writing Project Teacher-Consultants and TU faculty members. Each six-class session provides support in reading, writing, grammar, and math and provides test-taking strategies as well. The cost for all 6 classes is $300.00, but the Special Education Department is offering a limited number of scholarships for these classes for students planning to major in EE/SE. All pre-education majors are invited to participate in these classes.
The scholarships, however, are limited to pre-EE/SE majors. For more information about pre-EE/SE scholarships, email Dr. Gartland at gartland@towson.edu putting EESE PRAXIS Scholarship in the Subject line.
For more information about registration, please contact the Maryland Writing Project at 410-704-3593, email Kris Moylan at {moylan@towson.edu}, or stop by the Maryland Writing Project office in Hawkins Hall 107.
