On Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 6:30 pm in the New Liberal Arts Building room 4110 the Cultural Studies program will present Dave Zirin speaking on ?Sports and Resistance in the United States.?
Mr. Zirin is a noted sportswriter and radio commentator. He writes about the politics of sports for the ?Nation Magazine.? He is also the host of Edge of Sports Radio and has been a guest on numerous radio and television programs. His latest book is ?A People?s History of Sports in the United States.? He is also the author of ?Welcome to the Terrordome: The Pain, Politics, and Promise of Sports.?
