Many Moons Festival Returns with More in Store

Experience a trip to Asia. No need to board a plane or boat. Simply attend the Many Moons Festival 2008 in the Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Back by popular demand for the fourth time, this dynamic festival, expanded in scope and scale, takes place on six stages and in public spaces, featuring ten different performances of music and dance, hands-on arts and crafts, Anime screenings, delicious food and teas, all under one roof.

One ticket allows you to attend an array of exciting performances and activities throughout the day. Take in the dance and music of Korea, Vietnam, Mongolia, China, Bali. Enjoy enthralling puppet theater performances and listen to live music from Taiwan, India, China and the Philippines.

Children and adults can try their hand on craft making of Japanese dolls, Mongolian mask, and decorative knotting, just to name a few. Martial art schools will present various styles of Asian self defense including Chinese, Korean, Filipino and Japanese forms. A tea artist will illustrate the art of tea with demonstrations and tasting.
