Students – Take you App from a Prototype to a Commercial Product! ? MobileDev@TU Seminars

The Department of Computer and Information Sciences and the School of Emerging Technologies present a seminar on:

Taking your Mobile App from a Prototype to a Commercial Product!
Speakers: James Semesky, Matt Holtzem, Blake Kizer (Towson Students), Eric Oestrich, Clay Hickson (Towson University)

About the talk: We start off with ‘lighting talks’ by two student groups (James Semesky, Matt Holtzem, Blake Kizer) with app prototypes.

This is followed by Eric Oestrich (Towson Alumni, 2011) who just started his own company based on an app idea.

Eric is followed by Clay Hickson (Director, TowsonGlobal Business Incubator). TowsonGlobal is Towson University’s business incubator that helps entrepreneurial ventures learn how to compete in the global economy. It provides businesses a wide range of support and access to resources that can be beneficial when trying to commercialize new technologies.

Date: Thursday March 29th, 2012, 5:30pm (refreshments), 5:45pm (talk)
Location: 7800 York Rd, Room 459
RSVP is required (please use the website below). We hope to see you there!

About MoDev@TU Meetup:
This event is part of a larger effort to bridge Towson University students and the IT industry and to increase opportunities for both groups. We find that software development meetups in Baltimore have little student representation and this group is aimed at filling that void. Please contact {modev@towson.edu} for more details.
