Study of New Hearing Devices Needs Volunteers ? Limited spaces left!

Never worn hearing aids? Try new technology that is not yet commercially available!

The Center for Amplification, Rehabilitation and Listening (CARL) at Towson University is conducting research examining how first time users of amplification adjust to their hearing aids.

Participants must:
? never have tried hearing aids
? be 18-85 years old with sensorineural hearing loss in both ears
? be a native English speaker
? have the cognitive skills and endurance to complete all testing
? have sufficient literacy to complete all test instruments
? have no other significant medical problems (such as stroke, paresis or aphasia)
? be motivated to wear behind-the-ear style hearing aids
? be able to attend all testing sessions

Participants who qualify will:
? receive a free hearing evaluation
? receive free use of the premium digital hearing aids during the study
? be able to purchase any pair of the sponsoring company?s hearing aids at 40% off the retail price upon completion of the study.
