Maryland safeMAP: Providing Geospatial Information to the Public During an Emergency

Dr. Jay Morgan, Professor in the Department of Geography, will conduct a lecture entitled “Maryland safeMAP: Providing Geospatial Information to the Public During an Emergency” on Friday, November 19 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm in LA 2110. The lecture will present the findings of his 2009-2010 Wilson H. Elkins Professorship project and will demo the Maryland safeMAP application which is now accessible via the Maryland Emergency Management Agency Web site. The lecture is also part of the Geography Department’s Geography Awareness Week and GIS Day Activities.
