Free concert from WTMD this Thursday, September 7, after President Caret’s Fall Address! Ride down Charles Street to the Washington Monument and groove to three independent and progressive bands.
With bluesy pulses and gritty riffs, L.A.-based quintet the Colour brings their raw and passionate rock sound to Charm City. WTMD listeners will recognize the catchy ?Devil?s Got a Holda Me? from regular airplay.
L.A. based quartet the Shys ? formerly the Gun Shys ? flaunts a retro-modern rock sound borrowing liberally from ?60s British Invasion and garage rock and ?70s punk that invokes early David Bowie and the Clash.
Local favorite Donegal X Press is known for pumping a healthy dose of rock into its Celtic traditionals and originals. WTMD listeners will recognize DXP from their memorable song ?Devil in the Bottle.?
Food and beverages are available, so bring a blanket or some lawn chairs, look for the monument and listen for the music!
