Dr. Peter Lev, EMF, will give his Sabbatical Report on Monday, Feb. 20 at 12:30 p.m. in Media Center 203.
The talk, “Twentieth Century-Fox Reinvents Itself (several times),” will briefly describe the entire history of Fox (about 100 years) and then concentrate on the period 1950-1965, when the company was responding to the end of the studio system and the rise of television.
Among the topics to be discussed are widescreen movies, theater television, new audiences, and the tremendous importance of government relations to all media businesses.
