Did You Teach Kyle Hollingsworth in the early ’90s? HE’S FAMOUS!

Kyle Hollingsworth ’91, String Cheese Incident’s pianist, returns to campus for a live taping of WTMD’s signature program, “World Cafe”! String Cheese Incident is widely recognized as America’s most influential “jam band,” playing long and intricate melodies that build into danceable and memorable musical compositions. Really, it’s just great music you can have a blast to for hours! Kyle has just released his first solo effort, and it’s being well received by critics and his fan base.

You can help jam this event up a level in a couple of ways:

1. If you’re a staff or faculty member who remembers Kyle ? he was a music major, class of 1991 ? we’d like to hear from you and collect any stories and anecdotes that we can remind him about when he’s here.

2. Come celebrate WTMD’s Third Birthday on December 3rd in the Center for the Arts. “World Cafe” host David Dye is traveling to Baltimore for an exclusive taping of the national program, heard by more than 1 million people coast to coast. We’re thrilled to bring David to Baltimore for the very first time. Maryland duo Judd and Maggie will also be interviewed. Both Kyle Hollingsworth and Judd and Maggie will play music from their current records. Everyone who attends will receive a copy of the “The World Cafe Playlist Handbook,” and David will be on hand to sign them.

Chef Duff of Charm City Cakes, recently featured on “The Today Show,” will again create our birthday cake, one that’s sure to be a confectionary masterpiece. You can see his previous WTMD cakes at {http://www.charmcitycakes.com/}. This is a very limited seating event in the new Music Recital hall, with just 125 tickets on sale. Join us for this intimate and history-making taping here on Towson University’s campus.
