The women’s basketball team will be traveling to San Juan, Puerto Rico for the San Juan Shootout in December. This tournament is an opportunity for the program to compete against top competition from conferences such as the ACC, Big Ten, and Conference USA. In addition, the student-athletes on the team will get a chance to explore a new land and learn a new culture in their first ever trip outside of the United States.
To help the program raise money for the trip, the team is sponsoring a raffle of a 42″ Plasma Television. Tickets are $10.00, and a maximum of 1000 tickets will be sold. 100% of the proceeds will go towards the cost of airfare, meals, travel expenses, and educational opportunities for the trip.
