A public groundbreaking ceremony for the University’s new $68 million state-of-the-art 5,200-seat Tiger Arena will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 10 on the site adjacent to the Towson Center and across from the south (press box) side of Johnny Unitas Stadium.
The ceremonial dig will signal the beginning of construction of Tiger Arena which is expected to open in spring, 2013.
The venue?s construction history will be chronicled through the TigerArena.com website. Construction progress updates along with information for branding opportunities, corporate sponsorships plus the purchase of private suites and club level seating are now available on the website.
