On Friday, August 27, Towson University is teaming up with the Towson Chamber of Commerce Inc., in the festivities of Towson’s “Feet on the Street” block party, giving Towson University students the opportunity to interact with community members.
“Feet on the Street” takes place every Friday evening during the summer in Towson from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There is live music, food venders, children’s activities and various beverages sold by the Towson Chamber. Inexpensive and convenient parking will be available.
Towson University students have the opportunity to enjoy these activities after their first full week on campus. Towson University students that attend will have the chance to spin a prize wheel for great gift certificates from such local favorites as Pasta Mista, Burger Brothers, Ridgley and Ferrens Market Place and Towson Hot Bagels.
Additionally, students can quench their thirst at the event with free soda and water provided by the University’s Division of Student Affairs.
Tiger Athletics will have an area with a Moon Bounce and the Tiger Toss for kids.
Members of the Tigers football team will be in attendance to sign autographs and fans will have the chance to participate in an Enter-to-Win contest. The lucky winner will receive two free football season tickets for the 2010 campaign.
