TOWSON, Md. – After another successful regular season, the Tiger swimming and diving teams head to George Mason University for the 2010 Colonial Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships, which begin on Wednesday.

TIGERS HEAD TO GEORGE MASON FOR CAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
? The Tiger men?s and women?s swimming and diving teams will travel to George Mason University for the 2010 Colonial Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held from February 24 to February 27.
? The diving events begin on Wednesday, February 24 with the women?s three-meter diving event. Meanwhile, the swimming events will commence on Thursday, February 25.
? The Tiger women?s team has won the last two CAA titles while the men?s team placed seventh at last year?s championship.
GOING FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP HAT TRICK
? Following another record-setting regular season, the Tiger women?s team can become the second team in CAA history to win three conference titles. George Mason won four straight CAA championships from 2002 to 2005.
? The Tigers, who have posted a 26-2 dual meet record over the last two years, won last year?s meet by a 215-point margin over William & Mary.
? The Tigers outscored the Tribe by 283.50 points en route to their first CAA title two years ago.
LAST YEAR?S CAA WOMEN?S CHAMPIONSHIP
? Led by a dominating performance from Meredith Budner, the Tigers won their second straight CAA championship by over 215 points. Named as the Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet, Budner won three individual events in record-setting fashion.
? Budner won the 500-yard freestyle (4:45.99) and 1650-yard freestyle (16:16.50) along with a first place effort in the 400-yard individual medley (4:15.08).
? Brooke Golden won the 200-yard butterfly event in a time of 1:59.44.
? Coach Pat Mead was named as the CAA Coach of the Year for the second straight year and the third time in the last five years.
LAST YEAR?S CAA MEN?S CHAMPIONSHIP
? The Tigers finished seventh at last year?s CAA Championship, scoring 279.50 points.
? Senior Eric Pinno set a meet record in the 100-yard freestyle, turning in a time of 44.22 seconds. It marked his fourth CAA individual title in three years.
? Pinno also placed second in the 100-yard butterfly by breaking the school record with a time of 48.00 seconds.
