TOWSON, Md. ? Junior centerfielder Kevin Collins and junior third baseman Steve Yarsinsky of the Tiger baseball team have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America? District 2 team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Collins and Yarsinsky were joined on the District 2 All-Academic team by pitcher Paul Cianciolo of Penn State, pitcher Chris Yamaguchi of Bucknell, catcher Kyle Kane of Mount St. Mary?s, infielder Ben Allen of Bucknell, infielder Patrick Hercinger of Maryland Eastern Shore, infielder Mike Murphy of Maryland, outfielder Matt Maher of Fairleigh-Dickinson and outfielder Andrew Brouse of Bucknell.
All 11 players are candidates for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America? Baseball team which will be announced on May 26.
