Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 5! The Annual Black & Gold Spring Football Game is just around the corner. The day?s activities will last from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on May 5 in Johnny Unitas? Stadium, and admission is completely FREE.
The annual scrimmage is the culmination of the four-week spring practice schedule which began in early April. This year there are plenty of fun and festive activities planned around the game to bring enjoyment to all ages. Don?t miss your chance to reserve your 2007 season tickets as they will go on sale at the Spring Game. Everyone in attendance will have the option of selecting their favorite seats during the Tigers inaugural Select-A-Seat program.
When the gates open at 10 a.m. there will be registration for the pre-game youth clinic for boys in grades fourth through eighth until 10:15 a.m. when Head Coach Gordy Combs and the 2007 Towson Tigers when begin the clinic. Also, you won?t want to miss the Tiger FanZone on the field with all of the added items for the once a year event as it opens at 10 a.m. too.
Ever wonder what?s said in the huddle? Well wait no longer! In our ?Gordy Mic?d Up? segment, we?re going to put a wireless microphone on Coach Combs and broadcast his commentary over the PA system to help give the feel of what?s going on down in the trenches.
There will also be a kicking contest where several fans of the Black & Gold will have the opportunity to put their skills to the test and try to win a gift certificate to a local Towson business.
Your kids won?t want to miss their chance to ?Dress as a Tiger? and receive a commerative photo right there for FREE. You?ll be able to put on shoulder pads, a Towson jersey, and official Tiger helmet right there on the field. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to register for the chance to get the VIP treatment during the 2007 season: a sideline opportunity for you and your parents to watch the game!
Fans will want to purchase the 2007 Towson Football Schedule T-Shirts. These limited edition shirts can be purchased for a nominal fee of just $5. Lastly, fans of all ages, don?t pass up the chance to get on the turf and have a meet-and-greet with the coaches and players following the game to talk about what it?s going to take to win the CAA title during the inaugural season of Colonial Athletic Association Football.
