EEOL to Offer Specialized Programs and Seminars to the Medical Community

The Division of Economic and Community Outreach?s (DECO) Extended Education and On-line Learning (EEOL) unit is pleased to announce the introduction of a number of specialized seminars and training programs that will address the rapidly changing needs of the medical community, and prepare workers for new challenges in the medical field.

A three day medical project management program will be offered beginning January 2006. This program, geared towards hospital and large medical practice managers, will provide practical strategies to manage large medical projects that cut across different disciplines, with rigorous time lines and limited additional staff support. An extensive training program for entry level health care workers will be offered addressing not only basic medical procedures and practices but medical billing and insurance procedures, record keeping and new HIPPA requirements.
