Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum Presents “Security Management: An Evolving Challenge”

The September 15th meeting of the Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum will present an in-depth analysis of security management. Beginning at 8 a.m. at Towson University, the session will explore two critical security issues for business computing today: the current state of security on the Internet, including new threat trends and countermeasures, and security strategies for ensuring data privacy for customer and employee data. Featured speakers will be Dr. Peter Tippett, Chief Technology Officer of CyberTrust and Tom Noonan, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Internet Security Systems, Inc. (ISS).

Pre-registration is required and seating is limited. Interested faculty, staff, and students should contact Liz Young at 410-790-9362 or lyoung@towson.edu. For more information about the Forum, go to {www.towson.edu/cioforum}.

The Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum, affiliated with the Division of Economic and Community Outreach (DECO) of Towson University, is designed to foster excellence in business and information technology in an environment that promotes educational and networking opportunities for CIO’s facing similar challenges and issues. CIOs participate with peers to share information and experiences, and exchange best practices in peer-to-peer discussion sessions.
