TUGIS 2005 Mapping the Human Landscape: GIS for Public Health, Safety, and Social Services Applications

The Towson University Center for Geographic Information Sciences (CGIS) announces that TUGIS 2005, the18th Annual GIS Conference, will be held on Monday, March 21, and Tuesday, March 22, 2005, on the Towson University campus. The TUGIS 2005 theme is Mapping the Human Landscape: GIS for Public Health, Safety, and Social Services Applications. In addition to vendor exhibits, TUGIS offers more than 70 presentations, a variety of mini-workshops, a Map Gallery, Maryland GIS Awards, a Job Mart, and several social and networking activities. Post-conference workshops with classroom and laboratory instruction in various GIS topics will be held on March 23, 24, and 25, 2005.

TUGIS is always an exceptional GIS value, with a potential five full days focused on GIS and many opportunities during the first two conference days for GIS professionals to showcase their work, learn about the work their peers are involved in, and see demonstrations of the latest GIS software and applications.
