This lecture/workshop will focus on crime prevention and personal safety. Cynthia Wilson is a 24-year veteran in the field of Criminal Justice and has worked in various facets of the Criminal Justice system. While working as a police officer in the Baltimore County and Baltimore City Police Departments, she gained considerable knowledge in the area of crime awareness and crime prevention. She credits her experience with the Baltimore States Attorney?s Victim Witness Unit with assisting her in identifying why some people fall victim to crime and others do not. She recently founded the organization, SWAT, Seniors with Awareness Training, as a channel for sharing her knowledge with the public, especially seniors. Her goal is to keep you from becoming a victim of crime.

The lecture is sponsored by The Osher Lifelong Institute at Towson University, (formerly the Auburn Society), in partnership with the Towson Library. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Towson University is an important component of Towson University?s Division of Economic and Community Outreach (DECO).
