Campus construction is moving full steam ahead during the last weeks of summer. Updates on each of the major projects are below. For more information on campus construction, go to {www.towson.edu/construction}.
Campus Site and Safety Project
? The Lecture Hall ramp has been deconstructed and the contractor is in the clean up phase of the project. All work is expected to be completed by August 4?ten days ahead of schedule.
? The design team continues to develop the proposed campus gateway, Union Plaza, Lecture Hall Plaza and walkway changes. A decision on a gateway scheme is being finalized.
? Consultants have researched alternative methods for relocating high voltage power lines that currently exist over the proposed gateway.
? Geotechnical services for the design development is set to begin within three weeks.
College of Liberal Arts
? The east-west roadway realignment of University Avenue will be completed Friday, August 1.
? The reconstruction of the east entrance to Towsontown Garage will begin Friday, August 1. It is scheduled to be complete by the end of August.
? The temporary east wall of Phase 1 is under construction.
? The rubberized asphalt roofing is 50% complete.
? Grading on the north side of the building is in progress.
