The minimum wage will increase from $6.15 to $6.55 July 24, 2008. All current student employees who are paid an hourly rate of less than $6.55 will be automatically increased to $6.55. The effective date of this increase will be July 19, 2008 since that is the first day of the contingent pay period that includes July 24, 2008.
Student employees hired on or after July 19 must be paid a minimum of $6.55 per hour.
