Parking and Transportation Notice – Beginning of Semester Updates

PARKING

Please exercise extra caution and patience during the first two weeks of school, when traffic volume on campus will be very high. During this time we encourage faculty/staff to walk or use the campus shuttle to travel across campus for meetings. Students arriving after 9 a.m. should expect to park in the Towson Center lots and walk or take the campus shuttle to core campus areas.

Effective August 20, 2007 permits will only be recognized in their designated lot and summer modifications will no longer be in affect. There have been several parking changes over the summer, so please carefully read posted signs and visit the parking web site for information regarding parking restrictions and lot designations. Please remember visitor parking is now restricted to designated visitor lots.

All permits are valid in all Towson Center lots, with the exception of faculty/staff lot 21a located in between the Towson Center and Child Care Center. Signs posted at the entrance to each lot show specific restrictions and enforcement hours.

TRANSPORTATION

During fall and spring semesters campus shuttles and Para-transit service operate from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday ? Friday and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends. Updated schedules and routes are located at bus shelters and may be found at: {http://wwwnew.towson.edu/adminfinance/auxservices/parking/shuttle/oncampus.asp}
