SOFTWARE TIP OF THE WEEK

Microsoft Outlook 2003: Make it ?Paneless? to Read Your Inbox Messages

You can preview messages in your Outlook Inbox without opening them by using the Reading Pane. By default, the Reading Pane appears in a vertical format on the right side of your screen making it somewhat difficult to preview your messages. The Reading Pane can be placed at the bottom or on the right of the screen, or simply turned off. The following demonstrates how to place the Reading Pane at the bottom of the screen. Note: the Reading Pane is also available in Outlook?s Calendar view, but is turned off by default.

1. While viewing you Outlook Inbox, select View > Reading Pane > Bottom.
