Effective on or about August 16, changes to pay station functionality and the use of loading meters will be implemented. Some of the changes are necessary due to modifications to equipment, while other changes are being made in order to better accommodate the needs of the campus community and our visitors.
Information regarding these changes is below:
20-Minute Free Parking Spaces
Loading spaces at the locations shown below have been converted to require a 20-minute loading permit. Meters at the individual spaces have been removed. To park in a free 20-minute space, individuals will need to get a 20-minute loading permit from a pay station kiosk and place it on the vehicle dashboard with all information clearly visible.
– Lot 11 (near Union garage)
– Lot 21 (Towson Center)
– Lot 12 (Center for Fine Arts)
Pay Station Cash Payment:
Due to equipment changes by the manufacturer, pay stations will no longer dispense change. In order to avoid paying additional money for parking, individuals paying with cash will need to pay the exact amount for the amount of time that parking is required. The system will not dispense change for overpayments and no refunds will be issued.
Credit cards and department visitor codes will continue to be accepted at all pay stations.
