SOFTWARE TIP OF THE WEEK

PowerPoint 2007: Display a Graphic on Every Slide in a Presentation

Let?s say you have a logo or graphic that should appear in the same spot on each slide in your presentation. Wouldn?t it be swell to just insert it ONCE and have it automatically appear on every slide? This tip will let you do just that, and keep your file size smaller than if you pasted the graphic on individual slides.

1. Open or create your PowerPoint presentation.
2. Click the View tab on the Ribbon. In the Presentation Views group, click Slide Master.
3. Make sure you click on the first master slide on the left hand side of the screen to select it. It has the number 1 beside it. This will put the graphic on every slide.
4. Insert the graphic. (Insert graphics by clicking on the Insert tab on the ribbon and then click Picture in the Illustrations group.)
5. Position the graphic.
6. Save the presentation.
7. Return to Normal view by clicking on the View tab on the ribbon and then click Normal in the Presentation Views group.
