Whiting Turner, the contractor working on Phase 2 of the CLA project, will be erecting a tower crane to be used for the construction of CLA Phase 2. The work is scheduled to begin on or about June 15, 2009. The crane will be in place until sometime in the spring 2010 semester.
The crane will be erected using several other cranes. When it is complete, the crane will have a boom atop the tower that will have the length to extend over Hawkins/Psychology, but for safety reasons will not operate with beyond the construction fence line when loaded.
