Software Tip of the Week
Emptying Your Browser’s Cache in Blackboard
Sometimes in Blackboard you will need to empty your browser?s cache to see an addition or change that has been made. Steps to empty your browser?s cache are below.
Internet Explorer 7
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Tools.
3. Select Internet Options.
4. Click on the General tab.
5. Under Browsing history, click the Delete button
6. At Temporary Internet Files, click the Delete files button.
7. Click Yes to the pop-up asking you if you are sure you want to delete all?.
8. Click Close and OK to exit.
Internet Explorer 6
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Tools.
3. Select Internet Options.
4. Click on the General tab.
5. Under the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files… .
6. Click Ok to verify that you want to delete the files.
7. Then click Ok to exit.
Firefox 3 for Windows
1. Open Firefox.
2. Click on Tools.
3. Select Clear Private Data.
4. Select Cache and click Clear Private Data Now.
Firefox 3 for Macintosh
1. Open Firefox.
2. Click on Tools.
3. Select Clear Private Data.
4. Select Cache and click Clear Private Data Now.
Safari for Macintosh
1. Click on the Safari menu.
2. Click on Empty Cache.
3. Click Empty.
