Construction on the West Village Commons, West Village Garage, West Village Housing, and College of Liberal Arts projects continues to progress. Campus Gateway
Completed winter 2012
? The gateway pillars on either side of the new entrance have been erected; brickwork on the pillars is now underway.
? Traffic signal masts are being erected above the gateway.
? Installation of the new University Avenue road will began this week.
? The area is being filled to bring the grade up to proposed elevations between Burdick Hall and CLA.
College of Liberal Arts ? Phase II
Opening August 2011
? Construction on phase II is complete!
? The paver sidewalk on the west side of CLA is complete.
? Furniture has been delivered to the building.
? Miscellaneous finishing work and touch-ups are being done.
? Utility work is ongoing in the area northeast of the Union.
? Landscaping and sidewalks are being installed around the Hawkins Hall/Psychology grand staircase.
Public Safety Building
Opening August 2012
? Building construction is slated to begin around the beginning of September.
West Village Commons
Opening August 2011
? Construction on the building is complete!
? all interior furniture has been delivered.
? Housing & Residence Life is now occupying the building; additional occupants will move in the coming months.
? Facilities training on the building is ongoing.
West Village Garage

? Erection of the precast components is complete.
? Masonry is near 100% complete.
? Interior build-out of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems is ongoing.
