Rob Ambrose, coach of the Colonial Athletic Association champion Tigers, is one of five finalists for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year. In his third season, he was the coach of the most improved team in the nation, leading the Tigers to a 9-3 record and their first NCAA FCS playoff appearance.
Coach Ambrose is a finalist for the award, along with Rob Ash of Montana State, Tom Gilmore of Holy Cross, Jerry Moore of Appalachian State and Chris Mussman of North Dakota.
