Towson Announces Football and Basketball Info. For Oct. 29

With a 3 p.m. men?s basketball scrimmage vs. Holy Family (Pa.) in the Towson Center and a large crowd expected for the home football game between No. 13 Towson University and No. 21 University of Delaware at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, fans are advised to follow the parking guidelines below:
Parking is free for those attending the football and/or men?s basketball scrimmage in the general parking areas in Lots 14, 21 and the core campus lots (University Union and Towsontown Garages). Parking will be limited in Lots 14 and 21, the two lots closest to Johnny Unitas? Stadium, and they will open at 2 p.m. for the men?s basketball scrimmage. Once Lots 14 and 21 are filled, fans will be directed to park in lots on the core campus. The remaining lots will open for the football game at 4 p.m., three hours before kickoff.
University of Delaware fans wanting to tailgate together are encouraged to park in Lot 11 and in the University Union Garage, located at the corner of Osler Drive and Cross Campus Drive. Additional parking can be found at the Glen Garage located on Cross Campus Drive and the Towsontown Garage, located on Towsontown Boulevard.
Fans wishing to tailgate in RV?s should park in Lot 24 and Lot 24A, located across the street from the Glen Garage and behind the University Administration Building.
Although the garages are only a short walk from Unitas Stadium, shuttle buses will be available to transport fans to Minnegan Field at Johnny Unitas? Stadium.
Fans are encouraged to arrive at the game well before kickoff in anticipation of the large crowd.
Off to their best start as an NCAA FCS (formerly Division I-AA) program, the Tigers are 6-1 overall and tied for first place in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 4-0 record. The Tigers have won their last three games in a row, including back-to-back road wins at No. 18 Old Dominion and No. 14 William & Mary.
Under the direction of Head Coach Rob Ambrose, the Tigers have been ranked among the NCAA FCS Top 25 for the last five weeks. They are the most improved team in NCAA FCS this season.
Towson comes into this week?s game with one of the top offenses in NCAA FCS. The Tigers lead the CAA and are eighth in the nation totaling 449.1 yards per game, including 226.1 yards rushing per game.
The Tigers and the Blue Hens, who were national runners-up last season, will be meeting for the 13th time on Saturday night with Delaware owning an 8-4 edge in the series.
