Sent on behalf of Maria P. Fracasso, Chairperson, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Search Committee:
This email is being sent to inform the campus community on the progress the committee has made to date.
The committee has met several times during the month of October to review the applications of candidates for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. While the committee will continue to review candidates as additional applications arrive, the committee is currently in the process of checking references and conducting telephone interviews with semi-finalist candidates. After references have been checked and interviews have been conducted, a final list of acceptable candidates will be invited to the campus for an interview and open forum. The goal of the committee is to have candidates on campus within the next month, however, the campus community will be informed of the specific dates of these forums as they become available.
The search committee has completed a search prospectus which has been included on the website for campus perusal. Please visit the website on the provost search {http://www.towson.edu/tu/provostsearch/} to review up-to-date information on the search. The website contains the list of committee members, copies of the Code of Conduct which was signed by each member of the committee, the job description, and a questionnaire on the desired qualities and qualifications for the position of provost.
As always, input from the campus is welcomed and appreciated. Please feel free, therefore, to call (410-704-2634) or e-mail me at mfracasso@towson.edu.
Thank you for your continued support on the search for a Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
