Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with Book of the Year Author Esmeralda Santiago

Esmeralda Santiago, author of ?When I was Puerto Rican? will be visiting Towson University on Wednesday, October 4, 2006. Mrs. Santiago will first speak with students during a question & answer session at 3:00 PM in the Potomac Lounge. Later, at 7:00 PM in Stephens Auditorium, Mrs. Santiago will give a formal book reading.

Campus Life will also host 2 showings of her video ?Writing a Life.? This is a 1 hour documentary about the power of words to transform lives. These showings will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd in the Loch Raven Room at 11:00 AM and again at 3:00 PM.
