Throughout the fall semester we received input from students and met with student representatives to discuss requests and better ways to serve students. In a continuing effort to better serve the campus community, the following shuttle service changes will be implemented for the spring 2011 semester beginning January 29, 2011:
Gold Route Evening Service ? Effective January 29 the Gold Route will be extended to 2:30 a.m. The last run will leave the Cross Campus/Union Garage stop at 2 a.m. and end at 2:30 a.m. at the same location. On call service will not be available until after 2:30 a.m. After 2:30 a.m. the shuttle will stop running regular loops and begin running Safe Ride.
Safe Ride ? On call service will be provided between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m., seven days a week during the academic semesters. Shuttle service will be provided via the Gold route on a set schedule and route prior to 2:30 a.m.
County Garages ? In order to accommodate students who have evening classes that end at 9:50 p.m., effective Monday, January 31, an additional run will be added to the County Garage route. The last run will leave the Cross Campus/CFA stop #16 at 10:05 p.m.
Tiger On Call Weekend Service ? In an effort to provide predictable service in a more efficient manner, the weekend Tiger-On-Call program will be converted to a set route and schedule service, effective Saturday, January 29. The revised service ?Tiger Shuttle? will serve popular off campus locations as well as on campus stops on Saturdays and Sundays from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. After 9 p.m. the on campus Gold route will be available.
ParaTransit Weekend Service ? In an effort to better accommodate individuals with mobility issues additional Paratransit Service will now be available on Saturdays and Sundays beginning at 10 a.m. instead of 4 p.m. This service is only available for those who are officially registered through DSS to use the service. Authorized individuals may call the regular ParaTransit number to request service.
