Former Baseball Umpire Dave Pallone to Speak at Towson Center on Oct. 21
Former Major League Baseball umpire Dave Pallone will speak at the Towson Center on Tuesday, October 21. The event starts promptly at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the entire campus community.
As the third youngest umpire in baseball history, Dave Pallone demonstrated courage, professionalism and the ability to stand in the middle of adversity through many of baseball?s high profile and controversial events. Dave is the author of the New York Times? best-selling autobiography, Behind the Mask: My Double Life in Baseball, which offers a revealing look at baseball through the eyes of a gay man.
Dave has given more than 600 interviews for television, radio, and print media. He has been a frequent guest on ?Larry King Live? and has appeared on ?The Today Show?, ?CBS Morning?, ?The Geraldo Rivera Show? and many other news programs.
Dave has been a featured speaker at hundreds of university and college campuses. His unique approach to diversity and sexual orientation sensitivity training has led to several repeat appearances and has touched countless lives.
