On loan from the Arthur M. Sackler Foundation and curated by Dr. Trudy S. Kawami, this exhibition focuses on the Eastern and Asian steps that were home to a remarkable ancient culture whose art, richly decorated with animal motifs, is only beginning to be understood by scholars. An exhibition of contemporary Mongolian artwork, made possible by the Embassy of Mongolia, will also be on view to complement the ancient bronzes. The exhibition is part of The Arthur M. Sackler Foundation and the Embassy of Mongolia, Washington, D.C.
