The Summer Performing Arts Series continues with the Capitol Steps, Thursday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. The Capitol Steps, who put the “mock” in DeMOCracy, have been entertaining audiences with their political satire for the past 26 years. They’ve been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS and can be heard on NPR.
Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. the King of Rock-n-Roll takes the stage at Stephens Hall as Elvis tribute artist Chris MacDonald performs the “King’s” greatest hits. MacDonald has performed for the annual Elvis week and birthday festivities at Graceland and performs throughout the U.S.
Jamie Zemarel and musicians brings Remembering Bing, Sunday, July 15 at 3 p.m. to Stephens Hall for one performance. Zemarel as Bing Crosby reminiscences on his 51-year musical career in this anecdotal and musical review. The concert includes some of Crosby’s most famous songs including White Christmas.
