The Towson University Counseling Center is offering free online mental health screenings at {http://www.mentalhealthscreening.org/screening/Welcome.aspx}. The screenings can help identify a number of issues that students may be struggling with including depression, mood swings, alcohol use, anxiety, fear of weight gain, and experience with a traumatic situation. After completing the screening, a student is provided a number of on and off-campus resources that can help them seek help.
In addition, the Counseling Center also offers confidential online screenings for members of our armed forces and veterans at {http://www.militarymentalhealth.org/screening/default.aspx} for the same issues with additional resources.
Sometimes a listening ear can be enough to get you through the day or until your next visit to the Counseling Center. In this case, we suggest you call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALk (8255).
If you would like to schedule an appointment at the Counseling Center, please call 410-704-2512 Monday thru Friday 8:00AM ? 5:00PM.
The Towson University Suicide Prevention program is supported by a Garrett Lee Smith Suicide Prevention Grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration.
