The Virtual Job Fair is Almost Here!

Want to apply to all available on-campus jobs at one time? The Career Center is pleased to meet your needs by hosting a Virtual Job Fair for all students seeking on-campus jobs.

The Virtual Job Fair will be launched on Orientation weekend ( August 21, 2010 – August 25, 2010 ) and will be open to all students.

Participation in this event is free and easy!

Follow these six steps to participate in the Virtual Fair:
1. Go to {www.towson.edu/careercenter} and click on Hire@TU for Students. Click on the “Click here to register” link to create an account if you haven?t already created one. Complete all information paying close attention to “Applicant Type.?
Please note: If you have work study, you should select “Federal Work Study.? If not, you should select “Regular Student Employment” as your type.
2. Log into your Hire@TU account by going to {www.towson.edu/careercenter} and upload either a resume or an application by clicking on “My Account,? then “My Documents” and follow the instructions to upload a document.
(Application is available online here: {http://www.towson.edu/careercenter/student/Application.doc}).
3. After your document is uploaded, click on “Career Events” and then select “Virtual on Campus Career Fair.?

4. Click on “View Employers” and then click “Search” without entering any information. This will show you all the attending employers.

5. Click on any employer you think is interesting to see what positions they have to offer. Please read carefully to make sure you are eligible for the job. (For example, if the positions say “FWS” or ?Work Study? and you don’t have work study then you shouldn?t apply).

6. If you decide to apply for the position you can select the “Drop Resume” option on the employer profile screen. By selecting this you can apply directly to that employer.

7. Once you drop a resume, the option will disappear for that employer, but if you want, you can apply to every employer!
If you need any assistance, or have any questions, please contact the Career Center at 410.704.2233.

Thank you and we look forward to a successful event!
