Troy Powell, Associate Artistic Director of Ailey II, will be in the Towson University Department of Dance to set 5 excerpts of Alvin Ailey?s works on future members of the Towson University Dance Company (Spring 2010 cast). Auditions will take place on Monday, November 30 from 4-5 pm in CA 1008. The works will be performed as a part of the Towson University Dance Company?s Spring 2010 season. If you are interested in auditioning for the Ailey Repertory and being a member of the Towson University Dance Company you must be willing to register for Dance Company in the Spring 2010 semester (DANC 481.101) and be available for all rehearsals every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5-7 pm in CA 1008. All company members must enroll in a ballet or modern class in order to participate. On Monday, November 23rd a sign-up sheet will be posted on the Towson University Dance Company board for all interested dancers.
Mr. Powell will also be conducting Advance Modern Master classes during his residency. All master classes are open to the public for a $20 fee that will be collected before class begins.
