SOFTWARE TIP OF THE WEEK
Outlook 2010 Linking SharePoint Calendars to Outlook
You can link your SharePoint calendars to Outlook to ease the management of appointments on multiple calendars. When Outlook runs the Send/Receive command, the SharePoint calendar is automatically synchronized.
1) Open the SharePoint calendar in the web browser. (This was written using Internet Explorer.)
2) Click on the Actions drop-down menu and then click Connect to Outlook.
3) The Internet Explorer dialog box will appear asking if you wish to allow access. Click Allow.
4) The Microsoft Outlook dialog box will appear. Click Yes to confirm the calendar connection.
5) Open Outlook (if it is not already open). The calendar will show up under the category of Other Calendars and will be open.
6) Click on the arrow next to the title of the calendar to overlay your calendars.
