Eight students in Towson University?s College of Business and Economics will introduce themselves to Frank Bramble, former chairman of MBNA and member of the Board of Directors for Bank of America, this evening in the dean?s conference room located in Stephens Hall, room 216. Winners of TU?s adaptation of NBC?s The Apprentice will be named ?The Associate? and gain the opportunity to work with Bramble after graduating in May.
Throughout the course of ?The Associate? competition, four participating companies will present cases to the student candidates, who will split in two groups. Towson University President Robert L. Caret and Arthur C. Casserly, regional director of Bank of America – Hunt Valley, will serve on Bramble?s team, who evaluates candidates in the elimination process, as each week one candidate from the losing project team will be let go. Last year?s ?Donald Trump?, Edwin F. Hale Sr., chairman of the board and CEO of 1st Mariner Bank, will join the team for two boardroom sessions.
Boardroom sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings at 5 p.m. in the CBE dean?s conference room located in Stephens Hall, room 216:

All eight candidates from last year?s competition are now employed and working respectable positions in various Baltimore-area companies. In addition to the two finalists, two additional past participants now work for Ed Hale. ?No other business program in the area holds anything like this,? Amanda Knott, a finalist in the 2005 competition, says. ?The Associate represents why students come to Towson ? to build relationships, to learn and to become part of a community that?s developed to helping you succeed.?
