BASKETBALL: Towson Hosts “Powered by Me!” Event on Saturday

The second annual Powered by Me! middle school basketball clinic will be held this Saturday, November 15 at the Towson Center on the campus of Towson University. The clinic will operate from 9am -12:30pm.

Over 100 middle school aged students will work one on one with the men?s and women?s Towson University Basketball Teams. After the hands on clinic, we will be conducting an education session on the dangers of Energy Drinks and playing sports.

Dr. Nancy Grasmick, State Supt. of Schools and Towson University Alum, will stop by some time during the morning. She is one of the Powered by ME! honorary co-chairs. We welcome your support. Please feel free stop by the see this fun clinic.

9:00-9:30 am Arrival and Welcome to Towson University
Students will arrive and register.
T-shirts will be distributed and teams will be organized .

9:30-11:00 am Basketball Clinic
Towson men’s and women’s basketball coaches, Pat Kennedy and Joe mathews, joined by the teams’ players,will lead drills and instructions.

11:00-11:30 am Special Presentation
Presentation of the importance of good nutrition and haelthy habits, with special emphasis on the dangers of highly caffeinated energy drinks.

12:15-12:30 pm Lunch and & Meet the Tigers
Lunch will be provided by Black and Giold Catering. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the Towsons Tigers men’s and women’s players.
