TIGER ATHLETICS: Towson University is Proud to Host the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship This Weekend

After an exciting group of quarter-final games, the field for the semi-finals of the 2009 NCAA? Division I Women?s Lacrosse Championship has been set. The top four seeds in this year?s tournament advance to the semi-finals on Friday evening, which will be played at Johnny Unitas? Stadium on the Towson University campus.

Top-seeded and four-time defending champion Northwestern will face fourth-seeded Penn in the first semi-final at 6 p.m. while Atlantic Coast Conference rivals Maryland and North Carolina will face each other in the second semi-final at approximately 8:30 p.m. The semi-final winners will play in the championship game on Sunday, May 24 at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets for either the semi-finals or championship will cost eight dollars for children 18 years and younger and college students with a valid ID while adult tickets will cost 10 dollars. On game day, the cost increases to 10 dollars for children and students and 12 dollars for adults.

In addition, fans can purchase a two-day package, which includes tickets for the semi-finals and championship game. The cost of the two-day package will be 14 dollars for children and students and 18 dollars for adults, but will only be available for purchase in advance.
