TIGER ATHLETICS: Teams Surpass $1,000 in Funds Raised for Alex’s Lemonade Stand

The Tiger tennis team more than did their part for Alex?s Lemonade Stand at the Softball Spirit Event vs. Georgia State on Saturday, April 25th, and raised $250 to help fight Pediatric Cancer.

Tiger Athletic Teams have each identified one of their competitions as their Spirit Event. At that event, another Towson Team volunteers to run the stand, distributing free lemonade and collecting donations for Pediatric Cancer Research. This year, Towson teams have raised over $1,000 for this very worthy cause. The Tennis Team collected the most money at a single event this year.

The all-time record for TU Athletics still stands at $400 raised by the Men?s Golf Team at a Gymnastics Meet in 2008. Congratulations to all of Towson?s Teams on making a difference, fighting childhood cancer one cup at a time!
