This Wednesday is the final regular season home game for the 2009 Tigers and Towson Athletics has great promotions planned for the big game. Coming out to “The Lacrosse Event of the Season” is more than just watching a game. Here’s what’s planned for promotions at the BIG GAME:
Can I Have One of Those?
Gameday Sponsor Fidelity Investments will be handing out drawstring back packs to the first 600 kids 18 and under.
Towson Athletics and Campus Life have teamed up to give away 200 “Beat Hopkins” T-shirts to the students in the stands. After every goal scored by the Tigers be sure to look out as Towson Athletic T-shirts will be shot into the stands with the Towson-Pepsi shirt cannon.
Entertainment at the Breaks
Both the Towson University Pom Squad and Towson University Dance Teams will be performing in-between the quarter breaks. The Towson Pom Squad just earned Grand Champion honors at a regional competition before their National Championships, and the Towson University Dance team is fresh off of winning their 11th straight National Championship title!
Students Rewarded
During halftime of the game, students from Doc’s Army will be rewarded for their commitment and dedication to coming out and supporting the Tigers for the 2008-09 school year. The top ten leaders in attendance will be rewarded with TVs, gaming systems, gift certificates, Tiger Gear and pizza parties.
Battle of the Greeks
This game has been proclaimed a Battle of the Greeks, which has been a yearlong competition for the Greek chapters on campus to come out and support their Tigers by showing the most school spirit and bringing in the highest number of attendance. At the end of the game the overall winners for the year will be rewarded with a $500 check and the Battle of the Greeks Trophy.
Get “Lucky” with the Program
The Towson University Field Hockey team will be selling programs throughout the game and also during pre-game. They will be selling programs to raise money to build a new field hockey facility on the campus of Towson University. One dollar from every program will go towards the cause and there is also an added incentive to purchase a program at this game, as two programs will be specially marked as the “Lucky Programs” and those folks who have the lucky programs will win a $100 gift card to LaxWorld.

Towson Athletics offers a great opportunity for you to bring out a group to the big game on Wednesday night. You can purchase group tickets of 20 or more for just $3 a piece by calling the ticket office at 410-704-2244
