This is to advise that a contractor who was to set up a crane Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in the vicinity of the road leading to the Cook Library loading dock has postponed this event. The crane will possibly be set up on Friday, May 29, Monday June 1 or Tuesday June 2. The exact date is not know at this time. As soon the contractor advises as to the exact date, we will advise.
This crane will be used to lift structural supports and air handling units onto Cook?s roof, which are needed for the renovation of the archive space.
The area around the crane will be roped off and pedestrians will be directed to safe walking areas when steel materials and air handling units are lifted to the roof. This operation should only take one day.
