New Program–T’ai Chi
The Towson University Wellness Center is now offering T’ai Chi. Experience the traditional health enhancing benefits of T’ai Chi that include:
*Improved balance and coordination
*Increased flexibility and range of motion
*Enhanced relaxation and concentration
*Increased lower body strength and endurance
The program will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Wellness Center beginning January 12, 2009. The cost for the 10 week program is $100. You do not need to be a member of the Wellness Center to participate in this program. Registration is required and payment is due at time of sign up. Checks can be made payable to Kelly Phillips. New Program–Brain Gym
Join us at the Towson University Wellness Center for a FREE session of Brain Gym. Brain Gym is a practical, dynamic, development program which can benefit people of all activity levels. Simple movements/postures create a readiness of mind/body by stimulating the senses and activating the brain. This leads to:
*Reduced stress
*Increased attention and focus
*Improved balance
*Enhanced creativity
Marian, Briscuso, a certified Educational Kinesiology Instructor, will present a FREE session of Brain Gym on Tuesday, January 6th at 12:00 pm in the Wellness Center.
